The USDA said Friday that 700,125 pounds of canned spaghetti and meatballs products are being pulled because they contain milk, which was not listed on the products’ labels. The issue was discovered on June 6 when an ingredient supplier notified Conagra that bread crumbs used in the products might contain milk, a known allergen.
Trader Joe’s Recalls Matcha Green Tea Ice Cream Due to Possible Metal – Trader Joe’s is recalling one of its flavors of ice cream due to possible metal in the product. The recall affects Trader Joe’s Matcha Green Tea Ice Cream with an SKU number of 055740. Trader Joe’s says there may be small metal pieces in the ice cream. No injuries or illnesses have been reported. Customers who purchased this product are urged not to eat it and to throw it away or return it to the store for a full refund.
United Pet Group Recalls for Five Brands of Rawhide Dog Chews – United Pet Group has issued a voluntary recall for multiple brands of rawhide dog chew products that were distributed to retail outlets and sold online in the U.S. The recall was issued after United Pet Group identified that certain rawhide chew manufacturing facilities located in Mexico and Columbia, and one its suppliers in Brazil, were using an ammonium compound mixture as a processing aid in the making of the rawhide chews.
Hyundai Recalls Almost 600,000 Vehicles – Hyundai is recalling almost 600,000 vehicles in the U.S. to fix hood latch and parking brake warning light problems. The largest recall covers more than 437,000 Santa Fe and Santa Fe Sport SUVs from 2013-2017. A cable for the secondary hood latch can corrode and fail to latch. That could let the hood fly up if the primary latch isn’t secured.
Mazda Sports Cars Recalled for Fuel Line Leaks – Mazda is recalling thousands of older sports cars to fix possible fuel line leaks and problems with the front suspensions. The largest recall covers more than 69,000 RX-8s from 2004-2008. The automaker says in documents that a fuel pump pipe can crack and leak gasoline, possibly causing a fire. It was unclear if the problem has caused any flames or injuries.
Madison Mill Baby Gates Recalled Due to Entrapment Risk – The United States Consumer Product Safety Commission confirmed on Wednesday that Madison Mill, an Ashland City-based housewares company, has recalled two of its foldaway baby gates. Both products were recalled in the United States and Canada for potentially hazardous conditions, according to the CPSC: A young child’s neck can fit into the “V” shaped opening along the top edge of the gate, posing entrapment and strangulation hazards to young children. Also, young children can pass under the gate allowing access to restricted areas, such as stairs.
